1 ½ cup all purpose flour

3 ½ tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp baking soda

½ cup sour cream

¾ cup granulated sugar

1 tsp baking powder

2 cup powdered sugar

2 egg

⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa

½ cup milk

1 cup unsalted butter

¼ cup light-brown sugar

1 pinch salt
Instructions
1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line an 8x8 or 9x9 pan. 2 In a bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes). 3 Mix in eggs one at a time, then add sour cream, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. 4 In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. 5 Add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. 6 Stir in chocolate chips. 7 Pour batter into pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. 8 Let cake cool completely before frosting.
